Howdy folks. I’m Bill and this is The Quad City Reporter. I am indeed a reporter and I do in fact live in the Quad Cities. I hope you enjoy this blog.
A bit about me, to start. I was born in Chicago – the city, not the suburbs. I went to Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois, and studied political journalism. I moved out to the Quad Cities to take a reporting job in August, 2007. I’m left-handed, my favorite dog breeds are bully breeds and rottweilers and I drink a whole lot of coffee. I’m also a rabid Chicago White Sox fan and I love tattooing and body piercing. I currently have two tattoos and four holes in my left ear, but I’m always in the market for more.
Right now, I live in a tiny apartment in Moline with my guinea pig, Antigone, whom I adopted from a shelter in Davenport. Work takes up most of my time, but I try to squeeze in a social life when I can. I love to cook and eat and coming up with recipes is a lot of fun.
So what’s the deal with this blog, you ask? It’s simple, really. This is where I’ll write about what’s got me riled up enough to write about. It may be life here in the QC area. It may be something about the presidential race. It may be that I came up with an awesome recipe and wanted to share it with the world. Really, it could be anything. Please leave comments and trackbacks and all that good stuff. But most of all, have fun and enjoy.

Does your social life occasionally involve your old buddy Elle?
